“You are dispensable”
The words sounded strange, but clear. My eyes wandered around as I saw other people doing the things I usually do. Although the lesson was not altogether new to me, it seemed like a fresh dose of quinine in my half-sleepy state. I had always wondered what service would be like when I graduate- I had my answer now. As I saw the other instrumentalists handling their offices during the praise session, and everyone was clapping and singing, I suddenly felt little and invisible, and yes-dispensable.
We all are.
